CSI Miami Educational Program

I have long been a fan of CSI and tonight, for the first time, watched CSI Miami. This drama was very educational...in such a way that it made me hope that nobody under age 18 was watching. I learned a new term...toothing - a word for casual and anonymous and public sex by folks hooking up at clubs or via IM. The other thing that peaked my interest was the club where the murder du jour occurred. It was a club...furnished with beds. Inquiring minds want to know, so I did a Google for Bar Lounge Beds Miami and came up with a number of establishments...bed lounges. Beautiful people, liquor, music, seduction and beds...sheer curtained chambers for some privacy. This episode highlights the censorship issue that has become a hot topic since Janet's wardrobe malfunction. I know that this program was on after 9:00 (CT) but will it ever be on earlier in reruns? Will some kiddos who aren't supervised or have lenient parents watch this and discuss it on the playground? I didn't see it on television but heard that the program Medium focused on necrophilia in one episode. It seems that these programs are trying to top one another...go where no man has gone before on network television.

On Fox & Friends they interviewed the author of the book Home Invasion. This book warns parents about what kids are exposed to, the dangers, and ways we can help the children hold onto their innocence awhile longer. I bought the book the next day for my daughter and son-in-law and just hope they take time to read it. Another book I have perused, purchased, and recommend is The O'Reilly Factor For Kids; A Survival Guide for America's Families.
