Catching Up

Lots has happened since my last post!

* We took Mom on a cruise late October. That is a good thing. Of course then we came within spitting distance of a tropical storm and had a rocking and rolling (not in a good way) first two days. It was crazy. When we turned off the lights at night in our small cabin, I'd get in bed, close my eyes, and just turn my safety over to the Lord. The room was pitch black, there were muted sounds from above and below, and there was the constant rocking motion. It felt some like being back in the womb. The cruise was great though and my favorite food was the "warm chocolate melting cake".

* Jack had a bad wreck and totaled his car. He was hurt only a bit thank goodness and nobody else was hurt. So we are down to one car and spending lots more time together. And it is different but probably good for us.

* I twisted my knee, tore some cartilege and will see an orthopedic doc in January. It hurt like a saminabeach for the first two days. I hobbled around and got a cane and a knee brace. Now, about two weeks out, it feels much better. Still not right, but better.

For all my problems I have many more blessings. And I know that each person has their own cross to bear. So I try not to be a drama queen when I do hit a rough patch.

Now for the GREAT NEWS! I'm going to be a Grandma again. Dear son and dear d-n-l are expecting. Yea! She is about 8 weeks and they have had one doc appointment.

Now for other good news. We have a new puppy named Tater. She is an english bulldog and such a cutie. And a handful!

Happy Holidays all!
