August Auction Madness

Hubby and I went to an antique auction Sunday afternoon. What started out as..."oh...sis in law would like a couple of those dolls to add to her collection" and "it would be fun to look at these old Saturday Evenings Posts" turned into a mountain of stuff. But I'm having fun going through and finding some mysteries and treasures.

In the house I'm surrounded by close to 100 dolls...many of them loved to pieces but some just like new...a few antiques but mostly little value. I plan to keep a few, gift a few, and donate many. Hubby is calling me the crazy doll lady! Bwahahahaha!

Included in the haul are boxes of games, tins, toys, mirrors, frames, jewelry, figurines, and some great pieces of ancient "tack" for mules or oxen. Our best buys include an old wooden bench and a wooden cart with a hitch that I can pull behind my 4 wheeler at Gail.

THe only bad thing is that one item I really wanted is missing. It was a pair of bronzed little guy size cowboy boots. I guess someone else picked them up. Rats.
ANd we were outbid on a woven Indian rug and an old kerosene heater but nothing we couldn't live without.

Check out my pictures. I may post my mystery finds later and see if I can get some help!
