To All The Homes I Loved Before...

I thought about this today...homes and cars that have been part of my life.

The home where I grew up, 1103 13th Street, Abernathy, 1957-1972
3 bedroom, traditional ranch style home. I remember Mom in the kitchen, Dad doing projects in the garage, and just so many happy times.

Our first apartment in Austin, 1975
2 bedroom, window seats, overlooking a shaded courtyard.
This apartment almost felt enchanted. We adopted a kitty while we were there...she was white with one blue eye and one green. Maybe it was enchanted.

Our first apartment in Corpus Christi, 1975
2 bedroom, white shag carpet, step down den, lots of house plants.
We had our first baby here...our terrier/dachsund mix, Bo.

Our brick rental in Lubbock, Westwind subdivision, 1979
Step down living room, arched doorways, enormous master bedroom.
We lived here when Cindy celebrated her 4th birthday and when Jon was born.

Our home on Bangor where we raised our children, 1981 - 2003
Too many memories to begin to list, the most wonderful being our sweet children as they grew up. Many home cooked meals which is rare these days...also birthday parties, scout meetings, and Ft. Benton in the backyard.

Our present home - bungalow type, built in 1928. I had a burning desire to look at this house when it was on the market. After we walked through the house and went back to our car, Jack asked if we should make an offer. The rest is history. Most special to me is all the color on the walls...buttery yellow, tangerine, burgandy, taupe, green, and more. And the art room. And our wonderful bedroom with the cabinesque feel. Oh, and my big jacuzzi tub. Well, I have really loved all these houses listed, but this one takes the cake.
