Siamese (mix) Kitten

I am happy to report that we have a new member of the Benton household. We liberated a kitty from the evil pet store on July 4th. His birthday is May 14, he is precious with big blue eyes and siamese markings and his name is Maximus a.k.a. Mad Max. My allergies have really been kicking up the past couple of days but I'm hopeful that I'll adjust. If not, he may be a temporary member of our household.

Right now he is beside me, patting and nipping at my arm as I - OUCH! - type. Maggie, our 4 year old torbie, is not thrilled. She has done the hissing, slapping, and even the deep growling thing. But so far she hasn't gone into total attack mode and the kitten is still alive. The vet who gave Max a clean bill of health yesterday, said that you just never know and it totally depends on the personality of the cats. She assured me I can't reason with or cajole Maggie into accepting Max. Time will tell.

Oh...and Max is sporting newly trimmed whiskers. While I'm not 100% sure, I believe youngest granddaughter gave him this stylish trim. I first noticed it while in the vets office. The lady vet assured me this isn't harmful and that they will grow back. And she educated us on the importance of whiskers in feline navigation.
