Easter 07
I can't believe how long it is been since I posted anything. Too many days and events and ups and downs to try to post all that has happened since November 06. So I'll just start with Easter.
Last Sunday was such a special day for our family. Despite some tensions we all went to church with my Mom. The sermon dealt with reconciliation and one young man gave a witness that was very heartfelt. Then we had a great lunch at Mom's house - ham, red beans and cornbread, mashed potatoes, salad, apple pie, and strawberry shortcake. Of course the temps outside were more like Christmas. The temperature all day lingered in the 30's. Oh...but we did have an Easter Egg hunt for the little ones. The sky was gray, the ground wet and the air chilly when the kids rushed out to look for the brightly colored plastic, candy and boiled dyed eggs. The entire hunt took less than a minute and everyone rushed back inside to warm up. Mom even managed to crack a confetti egg on eldest nephews head in that short time! I'm just so grateful for my family. And while we are all missing Dad, life goes on. Praise the Lord for all our blessings.
