Happy '09

We have had a most joyful first few days of '09. We had the three Lubbock grandchildren stay with us from New Years Eve till today. The kids (ages 7, 12, 12) really got into cooking after watching some Top Chef episodes. They prepared lunch for us - it was beautiful, tasty, and fun. Then last night Jack supervised our first grill off...he and the children cooked steak, baby hamburgers, chicken, catfish, corn, and a pasta/broccolli and shrimp dish. They wanted a 'winner' each meal and critiques. The lunch winner was Ashley's baked potatoes, topped with cheese cubes, sliced baby tomatoes, and A1. :-) The winner at the grill off was the grilled chicken which was the most moist of the meats. Anyway, we all had a good time and I think they realized preparing meals is not easy.

Lil precious Molly is teething. And getting to eat baby bananas! She is such a smiley little doll.

I am so excited to see all the AU course listings and love that they have planned for a tuesday to tuesday event so hopefully I can attend this year and be there for vendor day!

Happy New Year to all friends, near and far.
